Tom and Giulio met in Mathare while Giulio was working alongside SlumRise.
What started as volunteering became Afrondani: a responsible tour project designed to tell real stories and support local development.
Mission
We aim to build a sustainable economic activity that creates jobs and income for people living in Mathare. At the same time, we offer visitors the chance to discover a side of Nairobi rarely seen — through local stories and visits to project sites— in a way that is respectful, safe, and centered on dignity.
Vision
We envision a Mathare where progress is driven not only by aid, but by opportunities. We believe sustainable economic activities — built with and for the community — are the strongest engine for lasting development: creating jobs and giving people the means to shape their own future.
